2000 Great Songs: Now Sortable!

 

Some days, I wake up wondering if there are things I can do to be even more of a music dork. And the answer, friends, is yes!

Having crept well past the 1000 mark on this absurd enterprise, I've started to lament that there's no easy way to see all of the songs to date in order. Or to sort those by, say, artist or year to check which performers, or musical years, are most/least representative. (The Beatles & Grateful Dead, tied at 13 apiece!) But that's all changed--because there is now a Jittery White Guy Music database!

I'm still playing with it (i.e. at some point I'll start adding links to the blog posts), but here's what it looks like so far:

BTW, hat tip to Jim Connelly, whose Certain Songs blog compendium is far more intensive than my own, with about 2000 more entries to date; and who gave me the idea of similarly setting up a database to track the songs. Woo-hoo!
