My Top 1000 Songs #628: Your Imagination

Illinois indie pop act Shoes never seemed to get the love they deserved. Maybe a little too new wave for the power pop crowd, or too power pop for the new wave crowd--if only they had that one "Stacy's Mom" kinda moment! But they have a solid catalog of wondrously catchy tunes that get stuck in your head--even if you're not digging into the deep cuts, you can't go wrong with one of their hits collections (or a homemade mix--hey, I made one just for you!). 

I don't have a favorite Shoes track, but "Your Imagination" (off 1981's Tongue Twister) comes close enough, with that peppy fuzzed-out bassline, fun percussion, and that killer call-and-response chorus.
