2000 Great Songs #1300: You're No Rock n' Roll Fun

Probably the closest Sleater-Kinney ever came to a straight-out pop song (ok, second closest)... and that's ok! The track, also off 2000's All Hands On The Bad One, even saw the girls getting all dolled up for a video. But if you're going to make a stab at trying to make sometimes jarring punk a little better suited for alt.rock radio, you can do a whole lot worse, and I always like it when S-K show their more melodic sound. And the vocal interplay at the end of the song nails it all down beautifully.
