One of the newest tunes on the list--setting aside one from 2023--but given my absolute love of The Beths (their 2025 release is at least as anything they've released to date), I'm pretty comfortably this one will endure. The title track off their third album, "Expert In A Dying Field" boldly displays both the band's knack for a delightfully infectious noise pop hook, full of fizzy guitars, and Elizabeth Stokes' relentlessly clever lyrics, this generation's Paul Westerberg on total fire. Who knew there was still a new spin on the ol' break-song up in this day and age, but they found it and turned it into another deceptively sunny yet melancholy pop song.Live in the studio 2023:Live, partially unplugged:
