My Top 1000 Songs #913: How Much About Last Night Do You Remember?

No, really, it's totally a coincidence that this lands on the heels of yesterday's "The Last Thing I Remember." Mostly, sorta. Let a guy have his fun.
Anyway, I'm pretty confident that I love the Young Fresh Fellows' 1985 sophomore LP Topsy Turvy more than anyone else on the planet, an endlessly witty and charming and entertaining mix of college radio jangle and retro 60s garage rock with brief bursts of psychedelia and pop and all manner of giddiness. "How Much About Last Night Do You Remember?" is a hyperkinetic rocker, a riff reminiscent of The Clash's "Clash City Rockers," Scott McCaughey lamenting either a lost, drunken evening, or maybe some greater, sadder loss. Mostly it's just the sort of song that makes you want to pick up a guitar and start a band.
