My Top 1000 Songs #559: Don't Let Go

Ugh, busy... last week of the quarter... gotta grade papers... heading out on a pre-class hike... but, hey, duty calls. So quick one here:

"Don't Let Go," off Weezer's 2001 untitled LP (the green one), is definitely one of those no-apologies Guilty Pleasure inclusions on the list, the band at their most absurdly inconsequential, a no-frills 3-chord power pop track. Kinda reminds me of the silly bubblegum pop I loved as a pre-teen, bands like Sweet and the Bay City Rollers, but updated for the alt.rock post-Millennium era. I have no business liking this at my age, but I can just play it on auto-repeat for hours.
